Since I began my campaign, people have asked me why? My passion for public service began after high school. I was privileged to serve in the United States Marine Corps after graduating Loretto High School, and I have been involved in our wonderful community since I finished my service.

Previously, I worked as a firefighter for the Lawrenceburg Fire Department and a volunteer firefighter responding to medical and emergency calls for over 20 years. I currently work at the Lawrence County Emergency Management Agency as a Grants Management Specialist working to secure money for our agency. Since 2001, I have worked with various fire departments within Lawrence County and the surrounding counties to secure over $5 million for our fire departments.

I have also spent time as a volunteer coach for the Lawrence County High School Shooting Team and as a Chamber Ambassador for the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce. I currently serve on the Tennessee County Commissioners Association’s Veteran’s Affairs Committee and Chair of the Lawrence County Commission. I also serve on the Animal Welfare, Human Resource, Non-Profit, and Emergency Services committees. I was recently selected to serve as the Chairman of the Selective Service for our area.

Outside of my service to the community, I have been married to my amazing wife, Mechelle, for over 30 years. We have been blessed with two wonderful children, Brittany and Derek. Derek and my daughter-in-law, Kelbie, have our two beautiful grandchildren, Nixon and Lanie.

I am Magna Cum Laude graduate of Columbia Southern University with a B.S. in Fire Science and hold an M.B.A in Public Administration. I have also earned the Chief Fire Officer Designation through the Center of Public Safety Excellence, one of 1750 people worldwide to do so. I earned the Certified Public Administrator Designation through the UT County Technical Assistance Service and the Certified County Finance Officer Designation.

This is a lot of information about me, but the most important thing I want you to know is that I am here to listen to you. None of the work that I have done over these decades matters unless you know that you do. My goal as Lawrence County Executive is simple: to ensure that every citizen, business, and family feels heard, supported, and valued. Let's put Lawrence County First!

My Key Issues

Urban planning and smart growth

My vision is simple - smart and responsible growth. That means bringing in the right kind of jobs, protecting our farmland, and building a strong tax base so growth pays for itself - not increasing fees that you will pay for.

Quality of Life

Quality of life isn't an accident. It is a result of smart growth that improves daily life. Safe communities, good roads, and places our families are proud to call home. That's the standard I will be in the office working toward - every day.

Supporting Small Businesses

Lawrence County was built on small businesses. The County Executive should help them grow - not slow them down with red tape and no planning. That is how we grow jobs, strengthen our tax base, and keep Lawrence County First.

Government Transparency

People deserve to know how their tax dollars are spent and how decisions are made. Transparent government builds trust. I will be in the office fighting for transparency , smart planning, and decisions you can see and understand.
